Former superstar pacer Lennytheshark, who is standing his first season in Tasmania, was represented by the Vicbred Super Series three-year-old harness racing heat winner Little Miss Lily at Ballarat on Wednesday night (August 30).
Despite sitting parked throughout, Little Miss Lily prevailed in a three-way photo to post her fourth success.
Lennytheshark, a winner of $3million and a Vicbred champion himself, has sired four winners so far including the Breeders Crown finalist Heathbern Bruce and the Home Grown Classic runner-up Lennys Angel.
Lennytheshark is standing at Tourello Standradbreds stud, Sheffield, of Kerrie Hymers.
‘Lenny’s’ companion sire Lincoln Royal NZ continues to churn out the winners. Recent winners by the former NZ 3YO Colt of the Year include Aeronaut NZ (Young) and My Little Big Man NZ (Pinjarra).
Lincoln Royal has sired 61 winners in Australia and NZ this season for progeny earnings of $1,040,526.
Former leading Canadian colt pacer All Bets Off, whose frozen semen is available to Australian breeders for the first time from Tourello Standardbreds, produced a pair of Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots two-year-old leg winners on Monday in Moonwalker (1:52.8) and Bonita’s Best Bet (1:53).
All Bets Off is ranked third in this year’s Ontario Sires Stakes sire premiership behind Bettor’s Delight and Betterthancheddar.
