Daley’s Grey Clouds brightens Vernon feature

Grey Clouds (Chapter Seven) and harness racing trainer-driver Dan Daley took the $7,500 featured trot on Saturday (September 2) at Vernon Downs.

Valotta Love (John MacDonald) took the early lead.  Grey Clouds ($14.80) went to the front just before hitting the first quarter first in :27.3.  He used a :30.4 second quarter to get to the half in :57.3.  He cruised to three-quarters in 1:27.2.

As they reached the stretch Valotta Love went to the outside as Telenovela (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) slipped through on the inside making it three across the track.  Grey Clouds dug in and won equaling his lifetime best of 1:56.1.  Valotta Love was second best.  Telenovela finished third.

Grey Clouds is a 4-year-old gelding is owned by Ann-Mari Daley and Jared Daley while trained by Dan Daley.  It was his fourth win this season and career victory number nine.

Leading driver John MacDonald drove three winners on the card giving him 71 on the season.
