Eolo Jet, Esperia CR win Marangoni Open and Filly Tests

The Open and Filly divisions of the AVV Carlo Marangoni took place this day with a pair of longshot winners.

In the Marangoni Open (purse 154,000€, 2100 meters autostart) the 1.13.8kr timed winner was 22.9/1 odds Eolo Jet (3m Wishing Stone-Upupa Jet-Credit Winner) reined by Mass Castaldo from post 10. He won when the leader went off stride. Finishing second was 12.8/1 Encantador Laksmy (3m Bold Eagle-Teodora Caf-Cantab Hall) driven by Pietro Gubellini. Encierro (3m Tobin Kronos-Olvera-Korean) was home third at 8.1/1 odds.

In the Marangoni Filly (purse 66,000€, 1600 meters autostart) the 12.1/1 odds Esperia CR (3f Ready Cash-Tentation Ans-Muscles Yankee) rallied from far back to win timed in 1.12.3kr. Santo Mollo teamed the filly owned by Jean Pierre Dubois. Elixia (3f Varenne-Leopardia-Muscles Yankee) was second at 22/1 and the 2,6/1 favorite Ere Jet (3f Maharajah-Love Me Tender-Supergill) was third.
