Harness Analyst – New Jersey Classic Finals card

We have a nice betting card of harness racing at The Meadowlands tonight (Sep. 8), with six New Jersey Classics topping the card.

Here is my full analysis of this 14-race card and some multi-race tickets to consider. Good Luck tonight.

Best Bet – NEWSROOM – Race 6

Spot Play – REGGIANITO – Race 7

15% Takeout 50-Cent Pick 5 – Race 1 – 6/1,3,5,7/2,3/2,3,4,7/2,4,7 = $19.20

15% Takeout 50-Cent Pick 4 – Race 6 – 5/1,2,7,9/3/4,7,8,10 = $8

15% Takeout 50-Cent Pick 4 – Race 10 – 7,8/1/2,3,4,7/2,4,7,8 = $16

Race 1 – 6-5-3-1

(6) SARASOTA HANOVER is fastest in here and she should take beating dropping into NW2 company.

Race 2 – 7-5-3-1

I’ll spread here in what looks to be a wide-open race but take a shot with (7) LIFE ON THE BLUF on top. The $155,000 Harrisburg buy was professional passing horses to break his maiden at first asking and he should offer a decent price here.

Race 3 – 2-3-4-5

(2) FASHION SCHOONER gets Tetrick back and if she stays flat, she likely leads every step of this mile.

Race 4 – 7-2-3-4

(7) REGGIANITO got a needed clean line and fired home in 26.4 in his second start, and I’ll take a flyer with him here in a race with no standout.

Race 5 – 4-7-2-1

Tough race here. I’ll side with (4) ALEXA’S FANTASY, who exits a race where she faced some tough sophomore stakes fillies.

Race 6 – 5-6-10-2

(5) NEWSROOM has been so dominant to this point that Show wagering is barred for this race. Enough said.

Race 7 – 2-1-7-9

(2) VALENTINA RICHIE gets needed post relief in this New Jersey Classic Consolation, and I’ll go price shopping with her in a race with no standout.

Race 8 – 3-2-1-5

(3) BUY A ROUND came back from a brief rest after winning a New Jersey Classic Final on Hambletonian day and she is sharp but also fresh; top call.

Race 9 – 8-7-10-4

I’ve been on (8) SECRET VOLO all summer and this isn’t the spot to jump ship. I think Sears sends her and she leads all the way tonight.

Race 10 – 1-8-10-4

Undefeated (1) SIG SAUER is the clear horse to beat starting from the rail in this NJ Classic Final.

Race 11 – 2-4-7-3

(2) AIR POWER stayed flat and got back on track and he should get a decent trip here. Call to upset.

Race 12 – 2-4-7-5

Unbeaten (2) PULP FICTION missed four weeks prior her last start and she should be much sharper tonight. Her unblemished record should remain intact.

Race 13 – 2-4-8-7

(2) MONSOON draws a good post for the first time since July and Gingras will likely send her and control this race from the outset.

Race 14 – 7-8-4-3

(7) WEST IS BEST is the new face in this field and he seems to fit well. I’ll give him a slight nod in a tough race.
