Andy Over made closed the gap to a length at the line. Arcanum (Paul Mackenzie) finished third.

Gimmie A Corona (Control The Moment, Anthony Haughan) narrowly avoided being upset in her division, getting up by a nose in the final strides to succeed as the even-money favourite. Badditude (Colin Kelly) was a few steps short of leading all the way, and Two Across Marion (J. Bradley Harris) closed hard to miss by a neck in third. Gimmie A Coronaās win was her return race after a two-week visit to Manitoba, in which she won the Lady Crocus. Meg Crone trains the filly, who is 10-for-25 and has built her bankroll to $63,664, for Laverne Turnbull of Kitchener.
