The national rating system has been one of benefit to the connections of Friday night Hobart harness racing winner Starofremembrance (Betterthancheddar).
The six-year-old mare has won nine races with Fridayās win being her fifth race of the season in theĀ Tasmanian Horse Transport PaceĀ for horses rated up to 44 over 2090m, and took her stake earnings this season over $28,000.
Driver Jacob Duggan positioned the $6 chance one-out and four-back from there second-row draw before improving into the race over the final 600m.
Starofremembrance raced away in the home straight, before being eased up near the line to record a 7.8m win over Rocks Roy ($8.50) and Blackjack Jim ($11).
The win continued the good season for hobby trainer Paul Medhurst, with six wins this season being his best since the 2013/14 season.
Training honours at the meeting went to trainer Ben Yole, who prepared a treble.
Isolation was backed in from $51 ($61 offered with some wagering service providers) into $6.50 on the Tasracing Offical Price, and like several big betting moves across various stables in recent times, the gelding was able to score.
The Bettors Delight gelding was able to lead and dictate affairs, and had to dig deep late to hold off the challenge of Salvator Mundi ($3.40 fav) by a head, with the time for the mile event recorded in 2m 1.1s.
In the following race, former Queensland pacer Bonny My Boy opened his winning account in Tasmania at his second start since joining the Yole stable.
From barrier two the pacer ended up three-back the pylons, before using the sprint lane to record a half-head victory over stable mate, Proficient.
Both winners were driven by Nathan Ford, with Benās brother Mark driving the stables other winner Remember Me Now ($2.90 fav).
