Southern harness racing trainers Alister Black and Craig Ferguson have some quality runners prepared for when racing resumes on the all weather surface at Gore on Thursday.
First starter Captain Sarah (Captaintreacherous) is Blackās entry in Race One. The three year old filly has been well tested at four workouts and one qualifying trial.
In Race Two Dignify (Father Patrick) has been building his formline, running on in both of his two starts.
Ferguson has three horses for Gore and his first is Major Art (Art Major) which could lead for driver Mark Hurrell from barrier three. He got too far back on debut but ran on late for third.
Netherton Franco (Always B Miki) has crafted a very good formline and over the 1700 metres in a small field should be a major player in Race Five.
Last start winner Huki Fella (Lord Forbes) comes up with a wide draw in Race Eight. Heās been freshened since winning at Wyndham earlier this month.
