Monticello, NY— Call Me Thefireman (Wishing Stone, Andrew Adamczyk, $23.40) and Magnificentchapter (Chapter Seven, Alan Schwartz, $20.20) scored harness racing upset victories in their respective $7,500 North American Driver Association trots at Monticello Raceway on Wednesday (Sept. 27).
Out of the gate, Raceace (Alan Schwartz) and Win And Dream (Jacob Stillwell) both led the way in the first division, with Call Me Thefireman following from the far outside. The 1-9 favorite Raceace broke stride, leaving Call Me Thefireman to take the lead. Win And Dream followed closely in second. They passed the first quarter mile in :29.2.
Call Me Thefireman was in the lead, with Win And Dream in second and By A Hoff Hanover (James Slendorn) racing in third as they passed the half mile in 1:01.
Call Me Thefireman had the lead by a length. By A Hoff Hanover rushed from the outside to challenge Win And Dream for second. As they passed the three-quarter mile mark in 1:31.1, By A Hoff Hanover passed Win And Dream and was battling Call Me Thefireman for the lead.
As they made their way around the final turn, Call Me Thefireman was still in front, with By A Hoff Hanover following in second. Call Me Thefireman crossed the wire two lengths ahead of By A Hoff Hanover in 2:00.2. Win And Dream finished in third.

Call Me Thefireman is a 7-year-old gelding trained by Andrew Adamczyk for owner Anthony Verruso. He just won the amateur division at Yonkers Raceway.
In the second $7,500 trot of the day, Fair Glider (Robert Ciavardini) took the early lead out of the gate, with Jackal And Hyde (James Slendorn) on the inside in second. From the far outside, Macnificentchapter rushed to the front, stealing the lead. They passed the first quarter mile in :30.1.
Magnificentchapter led the way by a length over pocket trip Fair Glider. Two lengths back, Jekyil N Hyde was racing in third as they passed the half mile in 1:01.
Magnificentchapter led the way, with Fair Glider closing in. The 6-5 favorite Brutal Storm (Andrew Adamczyk) rushed up to challenge Jekyil N Hyde for third. As they passed the three-quarter mile in 1:30.4, Brutal Storm passed Jekyil N Hyde and was moving to the front from the outside.
As they turned for home, Fair Glider was closing in from the inside, but Magnificentchapter was holding onto the lead. In a tight finish, Magnificentchapter crossed the wire first by a neck in 2:01.3. Fair Glider came in second and Brutal Storm finished in third.
