Justice too strong in Harrah’s Philly Open

Despite racing over a sloppy track with a one-second allowance, race favorite Justice (Chapter Seven) and harness racing driver George Napolitano, Jr. had no trouble in capturing the $20,000 Open Trot at Harrah’s Philadelphia Friday (Sept. 29).

Crystal Fashion (Corey Callahan) was first on the lead from post five and led the field to the first quarter in :27.1. Justice was parked out first-over at the quarter but then was able to move on to take command passing the half mile marker in :56.2.

Then first-over was B Nicking (Jonathan Ahle) and they pressured Justice to a 1:25 three-quarters and kept it up around the final turn.

Justice remained strong on the front end and went on to win by one and one-quarter lengths in 1:53.1. Crystal Fashion was second with Asteroid (Marcus Miller) finishing third.

JUSTICE REPLAY

It was the third win on the season for Justice, who is trained by Ake Svanstedt. The four-year-old stallion is co-owned by Ake Svanstedt, Inc. with Little E LLC, Torbjorn Swahn, Inc. and Myfab, Inc. He paid $5.20 to win.
