Seven-year-old harness racing gelding Ranieri (Art Major) ($8.50) continued his love affair with the Burnie track with a dominant win in the Dowling McCarthy Tyres Stakes (1892m) on Friday night.
The start was the pacers eighth at the Burnie track, and it was his third win to go along with his four minor placings.
Stepping quickly from a second-line draw in the standing start race, Charlie Castles positioned the seven-year-old gelding behind the leader.
The gelding was held up for clear racing room before getting into the clear around the final bend to finish off best in the home straight for a 1.2m win over the race leader and stablemate Whatta Good Reason ($4.80).
The win was one of four on the card for trainer Ben Yole.
Four-year-old gelding Bonny My Boy ($3.00) was the most impressive winner from his stable.
From barrier two on the second row in the 2180m standing start, the gelding was able to work forward and end up finding the lead after the first half of a lap before racing away from his rivals from the 500m on his way to a 20.1m win.
The Mark Yole-driven pacer has now won four of five starts since arriving in Tasmania.
Other winners from the Yole stable included Dynasty Stride ($21) and Smooth Deal ($3.60 fav), both of which were also driven by Mark Yole.
The mother-son combination of Tammy Langley and Dylan Ford made the long trip to Burnie from their Brighton base and made the trip worthwhile with a double.
Lorimertyrrell ($5.00) and Rambunctious ($5.50) showed brilliant standing start manners to lead in their respective races.
Nurse Anna ($2.60 fav) has never raced at another track than Burnie and recorded a tough first-up win, leading all the way for local trainer-driver Craig Hayes.
Heath Szczypka and Todd Rattray also teamed up to win with former Victorian mare Beyonski ($9.00), who also led all the way.
