Bangor, Maine – Harness racing driver Aaron Hall figured in the exacta payouts in six of the ten races held at Bangor Raceway on Sunday (October 15), scoring three wins and three runner-up placings during the course of matinee card.
Included in his trio of triumphs were a pair of combatants from the Kimberly Vafiades Stable whose appearances in the Bangor winner’s circle helped delivered a well-received birthday present, one day early, for the top-rated trainer.
Vafiades, who sports a gaudy .549 UTRS at Bangor this year and regularly employees the services of driver Aaron Hall, secured her 15th and 16th wins of the meet with Humor Me (1:58.4-$2.20) and Librado Hanover (1:58.2-$9.00). The triumphant pair measured the wire by margins of 1-1/2 lengths and a head respectively, with both horses pacing home in identical 58.1 back-halves.
Hall’s third win of the day came aboard Mr Blissfull (1:59.4-$12.60) who parlayed a snappy pocket-sitting trip into a victory by a head. The win was the 41st career score for the eleven-year-old son of Blissfull Hall who is trained by Aaron’s father, Craig Hall.
The three wins elevated Aaron Hall into fifth place on the current Bangor Raceway leaderboard with 30 seasonal scores at the Queen City Oval. Overall this year, Hall boasts 95 wins, taken at venues throughout New England.
Live harness racing resumes at Bangor Raceway on Wednesday (October 18) afternoon with post time scheduled at 3:00 p.m. (EDT)
