Harness racing hits Methven again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 1.25pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Moa Mojito (9) Risky from a stand but looks stronger this campaign. One of the better chances
Mainbocher (6) Getting better with racing and improver here. Should give a good account
Portelli (1) Better last start and can run into the placings with manners. Needed here

Race 2

Sea Jay (10) Conditions suit and drawn to race handy on the fence. Top selection in this
Kardashian (1) Good draw for the sprint and trainer has a good record here. Could surprise
Carmelite (9) Has been racing stronger fields. Back in a winnable race here but bad draw. 

Race 3

Americano (6) Has been racing ok and normally good beginner. Win chance with luck
Pacific Thunder (1) Drawn well for this and has placed here. Has to be included in this field
Strike Me Handsome (2) Has been racing ok and should race handy. Place chance from the draw

Race 4

Ginas Majesty (8) Wide draw but goes well on grass. Chance with a cart into the race. Include
Rachmaninov (6) Out of form but better than that. Only needs a quick beginning to be a chance
Shandon Bells (7) Change of trainer for this. Good grass track driver booked and can place

Race 5

Apatchofgold (7) Has looked unlucky and grass suits. Looks one of the better bets on the day
Phone Tap (4) Likely to head forward early from the draw. Should give a good account in this
Just Michael (10) Nice fence run beckons here. Can run top three with any gaps in the straight

Race 6

Verducci (7) Unbelievable finish here last start. Good chance if she gets a good trip. Needed
Kirkman (3) Manners the key with this one. Winning claims in this field with no mistakes
Raise The Devil (6) Going ok at trials and driver change for this. One for longer odds here

Race 7

Szybka Lane (6) Nice gate speed and should be improved for this. Grass suits as well. Include
Stephs Boy (8) Gate flyer who goes well on grass and top driver booked. Has to be respected here
Motor Mouth (9) Has a good record in these conditions. Likely to press forward early. Needed

Race 8

Foveaux Gambler (1) Good draw and he goes ok on grass. Major player in this. Top selection
Finders Keepers (11) Out of form but conditions will suit and can run top three with luck
Flyaway (4) Has gone well on grass previously and drawn well. Has winning claims here

Race 9

He’s A Jackalack (2) Speedy beginner and might be the leader here. Can run top three again
Megarock (7) Freshened but great beginner and ok grass stats. Top three player at longer odds
Blue Rock Dancer (10) Has been honest the last few starts and big chance with the run to suit

Race 10

Crazy N Love (8) Missed the start last time out but fast mare who can get back in form quickly
Aiguille (13) Grass ok and mobile will suit. Top three player with a good cart into the race
George Eliot (9) Maiden taking on race winners but going well in stronger age group fields.

Race 11

Clymenus (7) Big grass track will suit. Wide draw but should give a good account again here
Emma’s Delight (1) Due to strike form again. Needs the right trip but has the draw to suit
King Arthur (10) Better last start. Track suits and can lob another placing here with gaps
