Dayton, OH – After dabbling in Grand Circuit stakes throughout his 2023 season, Workin Ona Mystery (Captaintreacherous – Dragons Tale) found victory lane for his third straight start and seventh time of the season at Dayton Raceway on the Thursday, October 26 card of harness racing.
Starting from Post 6 in the $25,000 horses and geldings Open Pace, Workin Ona Mystery and driver Chris Page retreated off the car to sit fifth while Stars Align rocketed to the lead to set up a quick early tempo of :26 to the quarter, and :54.3 to the half where Workin Ona Mystery made his first over bid to three-quarters in 1:22.
Workin Ona Mystery continued to advance on the outside to eventually draw off to win by a length-and-a-quarter in 1:49.3 over Sectionline Bigry and Let It Ride.
Workin Ona Mystery is owned by Burke Racing, Milton Leeman, Alan Keith and Wingfield Brothers LLC and now boasts over $1.2 million in career earnings. Workin Ona Mystery notched his third straight victory and paid $4.80 to win.
