Harness Analyst – Hoosier Park 3rd November

We have Grand Circuit harness racing at Harrah’s Hoosier Park tonight, the highlight of a 13-race card full of wagering opportunities.

Here are my thoughts on tonight’s card. Best of luck with your plays.

Best Bet – BUZZSAW RUSS – Race 1

Spot Play – BICORNE HANOVER – Race 13

50-Cent Pick 5 – Race 1 – 2/357/15/2458/48 = $24

50-Cent Pick 4 – Race 3 – 15/2458/48/24 = $16

50-Cent Pick 5 – Race 9 – 3/2357/18/47/125 = $24

50-Cent Pick 4 – Race 10 – 2357/18/47/125

Race 1 – 2-5-1-7

(2) BUZZSAW RUSS just missed making the Breeders Crown final and now he faces easier. De Long should be able to find the winning trip tonight starting from the inside.

Race 2 – 3-5-7-1

(3) DOJEA ROCK gets needed post relief in this spot, and he is very likely to leave much quicker than he has been. I’ll give him the call to upset.

Race 3 – 1-5-7-8

(1) BUY IN gets class and post relief and Gingras in the bike tonight. There is plenty to like here.

Race 4 – 5-4-2-8

(5) SERIOUS MIKI motored home last time but the top two weren’t stopping. He projects to get a setup here and I see him rallying for a win tonight.

Race 5 – 8-4-1-6

(8) ER ROCKY closed well last time now he gets Miller in the bike. I think he will be more aggressive tonight; top call.

Race 6 – 2-4-11-7

(2) ART IT IS has been racing over his head lately. He gets class and post relief and De Long in the bike tonight and he should improve sharply.

Race 7 – 3-2-4-6

(3) ROLLIN ROSIE was up against it here last Saturday racing on the lead in the slop which wasn’t the place to be. She understandably backed up late. She could be a value play here in this Grand Circuit race.

Race 8 – 4-9-8-1

(4) SPRING INHIS STEP A is on a roll, and he should offer a good price here as he seeks a threepeat; top call.

Race 9 – 3-1-10-8

(3) TACTICAL MOUNDS has put together a tremendous year and she has been sure gaited which is a plus. I’ll stick with her here.

Race 10 – 7-3-5-2

(7) WHY NOT NOW adds Lasix after falling just short and that could put him over the top tonight.

Race 11 – 8-1-10-2

(8) TACTICAL APPROACH is clearly the best in this division and Zeron keeps working out winning trips with him. He is the one to beat.

Race 12 – 7-4-3-2

(7) BILLY CLYDE was first up last week battling and that’s not his trip. I look for him to blast to the front tonight and lead all the way.

Race 13 – 2-1-5-3

(2) BICORNE HANOVER fires sub-27 kickers regularly and I’ll try for an upset with him tonight starting from an inside post.
