Queenslanders Zena Rhayne Bow and Peter McMullen will be hoping the stars align and they can steal the Pebble Beach Breeders Crown 2YO Fillies title from Victoria.
The bay filly flew down with McMullen during the week before the 32-year-old reinsman had to head back home to look after the rest of the stable he runs with trainer and wife Chantal Turpin.
āI actually took her down here during the week myself,ā McMullen told Toby McKinnon on SENTrackās Trots Life.
āHad to fly home myself, got a big operation at home, so had to duck home and do a few things and then fly back down again.ā
McMullen knows his filly will be tested after traveling and with the quality of tonightās field in the second heat for two-year-old fillies.
āI think itās going to be a pretty big ask. Itās a pretty hot field. We think a lot of her, but she had a pretty big trip during the week,ā he said.
Zena Rhayne Bow is a winner of her only start at Albion Park in mid-October and will start from outside the front row in tonightās qualifier from Bendigo at 8.33pm.
