Backstretch burst takes Meadows feature

WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 9, 2023 — Twin B Nation (American Ideal-Lovely Erin) gobbled up the leader with a quick backside burst and drew off late to capture Thursday’s harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, an $11,500 Conditioned Pace.

Twin B Nation was an unhurried fourth when Dave Palone sent him after the leader, Hillbillypacinhill. The 3-year-old gelding was on top in a heartbeat and cruised home in 1:53.3, 2-3/4 lengths better than Yippie Hanover. Hes A Sweetheart earned show at 51-1.

Ron Burke trains Twin B Nation for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Palone’s hot streak continued; with three wins on Thursday’s 13-race card, he lifted his total over the last five programs to 18. Aaron Merriman also fashioned a Thursday triple.
