Once harness racing driver Daniel Dube put race favorite Incommunicado (Chapter Seven) first-over in the backstretch, the five-year-old gelding took off in capturing the $32,000 Open Handicap Trot Thursday (Nov. 16) at Yonkers Raceway.
The 4th race feature got underway with Credit Con (Tyler Buter) first on the lead off the starting gate and they cut the mile to the opening quarter in :28.2 with Incommunicado sitting the two-hole trip.
They raced single file to the half mile in :57.3, but once in the backstretch, Dube vacated the pocket-seat with Incommunicado and came after Credit Con past the three-quarters in 1:26 with Southwind Arturo (Jason Bartlett) second-over.
Around the final turn and Incommunicado took the lead away from Credit Con and then trotted away from the rest of the field in the stretch, winning by four and three-quarter lengths in 1:54.3. Southwind Arturo was second with Kasha V (Jim Marohn, Jr.) third.
