Granit Meslois cruises in 90,000€ Gr. III

The 8/10 odds favorite Granit Mrslois (7g Shadow d’Odyssee-Sexy Mesloise-And Arifant) easily took the Gr. III monte Prix de L’Ile d’Oleron (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters, 11 starters all 5–6-year-olds) at Vincennes.

Victor Saussaye was the winning jockey for trainer Pierre Belloche and Ecurie B as Granit won for the eighth time in his career now for 457,230€ earned. Race time was 1.12.6kr. Espace Winner (9g Prince d’Espace) was a distant second for Alexandre Abrivard and trainer L.C. Abrivard at 5.8/1. Third was 29/1 Self Explosive (8g Explosive Matter) was third with Benjamin Rochard in the irons for trainer Christoffer Eriksson.

On the undercard the Prix de Thorigny (purse 35,000€, 2700 meters, 15 three-year-old filly starters) the 23/1 odds outsider Khitara (3f Love You-Gupiquaria-Goetmals Wood) scored in 1.14.8kr with Tristan Ouvrie driving for trainer Jean Michel Bazire and owner Alexandre Skowronski. She won for the second time in seven career starts for 24,875€ earned. Kiss Me Honey (3f Eye Of The Storm) was second for driver Louis Baudouin at 78/1, with 7.8/1 Key Lady (3f Prodigious) home third for Mathieu Mottier and trainer/owner/breeder Louis Baudron.

Four-year olds contested the Prix d’Azay le Rideau (purse 35,000€, 2850 meters, 16 four-year old male starters) with victory to 1.14.0kr timed and 1.6/1 odds Je Te Cherche (4g Love You-Return Money) with Theo Duvaldestin for trainer/owner/breeder Thierry Duvaldestin. He won for the fifth time in 10 career starts for 56,550€ earned. Jackson Boy (4g Paris Haufor) was second for trainer/driver/owner/breeder Yves Dreux. Jewel Touch (4f Uniclove) landed third at 7.7/1 odds with Franck Nivard at the lines.
