Harness Analyst – Meadowlands Grand Circuit elim card

The Meadowlands hosts several Grand Circuit harness racing eliminations for two-year-olds and there are several nice wagering opportunities in the competitive 14-race card.

Here is how I see tonight’s races. Best of luck with your plays.

Best Bet – MY GIRL E J – Race 7

Spot Play – NUCLEAR – Race 6

$0.20 Pick 5 – Race 1 – 36910/19/2/3,7/125 = $9.60

$0.50 Pick 4 – Race 6 – 357/5/1479/2589 = $24

Race 1 – 6-3-9-10

This is a very tough race to kick off the Pick 5. I’ll side with (6) WHITE BELLY who faces easier. It makes sense to spread in this race.

Race 2 – 9-1-8-7

(9) NOB HILL FLASH just won at this level from a wide post, and he gets the call to repeat.

Race 3 – 2-6-8-1

This is the first Goldsmith Maid elimination and(2) SOIREE HANOVER lays over this field. She should dominate these at a short price.

Race 4 – 7-3-4-6

This is the first elimination of the Governors Cup.(7) NEWSROOM is in much easier here and he should rebound in this spot.

Race 5 –5-1-2-3

We have the second Goldsmith Maid elimination here. (5) R MELINA looks best in here, but I’ll use a couple of others that have a chance, trying to add some value to the cash leg of the Pick 5.

Race 6 – 5-3-7-4

This is the second Governor’s Cup elimination.(5) NUCLEAR raced admirably in the Breeders Crown elimination and final and this is a much better spot for him; top call.

Race 7 – 5-1-9-4

Here we have the elimination for the Three Diamonds with the top eight finishers advancing to the final (Caviart Belle and Peace Talks received byes). Breeders Crown winner (5) MY GIRL EJ should be very tough to beat here at a short price.

Race 8 – 4-1-9-7

This is the Here elimination for the Valley Victory with the top eight finishers advancing to the final (Karl and Security Protected received byes). (4) WILD TICKET is the only one in this field exiting the Breeders Crown and he figures to improve sharply in this spot. Call to upset.

Race 9 – 9-5-8-2

Tough race here with several legitimate chances to win. (9) DRAGONONTHEBEACH was in tough in the Harrah’s Philly Opens and I’ll side with him. He should offer a good price starting from the widest post.  

Race 10 –. 4-7-8-1

This is a good spot for (4) TOURASI who should get more aggressive early in the mile facing this group; top call.

Race 11 – 3-8-9-6

(3) SERMON closed well in his last start now he gets an improved post and Tetrick in the bike. I’ll swing for the fences with him.

Race 12 – 8-3-2-7

(8) SOUTHWIND SAMBUCCA just took a new life’s mark and off that strong effort, I’ll give him the call to repeat.  

Race 13 – 1-3-5-2

(1) BETTOR NOT TALK drops and gets the rail and he jogged last time he raced at this level three starts back. He should be the one to beat.

Race 14 – 1-3-6-2

(1) STRAIGHT TALK drops to a logical spot and McCarthy should put him into action early in this mile; top call.
