Mark Pitt rounded off a successful Breeders Crown Semi Finals night when he landed his sixth harness racing winner aboard Nathan Street (Lazarus) who led all the way in the 2YO Colts & Geldings Second Semi Final.
Pitt and Nathan Street ($9.50) pounced on the lead when the $1.10 favorite Kingman was unable to muster sufficient speed from the pole to secure the front running.
Kingman landed in the one out one back trail however he couldn’t reel in Nathan Street down the home straight with a neck margin separating the pair.
Pitt admitted he didn’t have the lead in his pre race plans.
āI thought Kingman was the leader but when it looked like getting crossed I thought I’m a chance of getting to the pegs here,ā Pitt said.
āHes a little bit underrated and the draw next week is the thing but he seems like he’s going to be a nice horse this fellow,ā he said.
SIX OF THE BEST!

NSW bred colt Timmy Rictor served notice he will be one of the key players in the Breeders Crown (2YO Colts & Geldings) Final with an authoritative win in the First Semi Final.
Timmy Rictor wrested the lead off Smoken Ace inside the first 400 metres and driver David Moran was able to give the son of Modern Art a mid race breather before releasing the reins at the 400 metre mark.
Timmy Rictor scooted through the last 400 metres in 26.3 seconds scoring comfortably from stable mate Some American and Smoken Ace in a mile rate of 1:54.8.
āHe is a really nice two year old, he seems to have all the attributes of a nice horse,ā Moran said.
“He’s got some terrific gate speed.”
