Sweden’s Breeders Crowns awarded

The four Sweden Breeders Crown races (each with a purse to winner of 800,000SEK and raced over 2140 meters autostart) were completed this day at Eskilstuna.

The impressive A Fair Day (4g Maharajah-Jolene Day-Glen Kronos)) took the Gr. I International four-year old male division on the front end timed in 1.11.5kr for driver Oscar Ginman. The winner is trained by Elisabeth Almheden, as owner too, as her charge obtained his 12^th career victory in 24 starts and ninth 2023 win in 12 starts. Off at 4.2/1 A Fair Day defeated 5.2/1 Bedazzled Sox (4m Brillantissime-Out Of The Kitchen-Here Comes Herbie) reined by Claes Sjostrom for Roger Walmann and SRF Stable. Third was 30.3/1 Game Brodde (4m SJ’s Caviar-Geisha Brodda-Offshore Dream) with trainer Johan Untersteiner the pilot.

In the three-year old filly division, the 2.2/1 Ester Degli Dei (3f Maharajah-Twill Be Done-Donato Hanover) scored in 1.12.9kr with Robin Bakker driving for Paul J.P. Hagoort and owner L.J.C. Schalkoort. This was Ester’s eighth 2023 win in nine starts and she has nine career victories in 10 outings. Adriatica (3f Bold Eagle-Xena Brick-Super Arnie) was second at 3.1/1 odds for Magnus A. Djuse and trainer Timo Nurmos ahead of Ninetta Boko (3f Father Patrick-Aida Boko-From Above) and reinsman Robbin Bot.

In the three-year old male contest, the 29.8/1 odds Stens Rubin (3g Readly Express-Barham Hanover-Cantab Hall) was a narrow game winner in 1.13.5kr. Erik Adielsson was the winning pilot for trainer Johan Untersteiner. He defeated the 1.5/1 odds favorite Fame And Glory (3m Tactical Landing-Olympia Tilly) was a just missed second for Bjorn Goop and trainer Timo Nurmos for Stall Sofo, and Nouri di Quattro (3m Southwind Frank-Rhiannon Face-Raja Mirchi) was a length off third at 12.6/1 again for the Magnus A. Djuse/Timo Nurmos team.

Lastly the four-year old mares went to 8.4/1 odds Queen Belina (4f Nuncio-First Love Boko-Muscles Yankee) timed in 1.13.1kr. Jorgen Westholm was the teamster trainer for Anders van Dapperen as their winner earned her fourth victory in eight 2023 starts and eighth career win in 20 appearances. Cabaret Artist (4f Propulsion-Cedar Key-Glidemaster) was second for Orjan Kihlstrom and trainer Daniel Reden at 8.7/1 odds. Third to the line was 3.9/1 O’Mara Zon (4f Maharajah-Exclussive Zon-Varenne) for pilot/trainer Daniel Wajersten.
