Breeders Crown double

Just Believe (Orlando Vici) and Keayang Chucky (Love You), two of the best trotters in the land at present, won feature harness racing events at the Breeders Crown meeting at Bendigo last Friday (November 17).

Having his first outing since his Scandinavian trip, Just Believe sat parked for the last lap before overpowering Queen Elida NZ (by Love You) in track record time of 1:55.6 in the $30,000 Breeders Crown Trotters Free-for-all (2150 metres).

It was the gelding’s 19th success and lifted his stake tally to $762,633. Queen Elida has banked $644,745.

Love You provided the quinella pair in the $30,000 Breeders Crown 4YO Championship at Bendigo in Keayang Chucky and Aroha Koe, who led. 

The $17,100 winner’s cheque boosted Keayang Chucky’s earnings to more than $100,000 and he became the ninth Aussie bred progeny of Love You to achieve the milestone.

Love You sired three winners at the NZ Cup carnival in Love N The Port, who took out the Group 3 $37,200 Worthy Queen on Cup Day, Outamyway and Mr Love.

Other Haras Des Trotteurs’ sired winners this week have been Jet Legs (by Quaker Jet) and Fremarkstilly (by Love You).
