Come Zoom With Me takes Monticello feature

Monticello, NY— The 4-5 favorite Come Zoom With Me (Roll With Joe, Bruce Aldrich Jr) won the $4,900 harness racing pace at Monticello Raceway on Monday afternoon (Nov. 20).

Come Zoom With Me took the early lead, with Raise The Rent (Ralph Silvestri III) in second and Pretty Gorgeous (Joseph Chindano Jr) racing in third. Come Zoom With Me had the lead by a length as they reached the first quarter mile in :28.3.

From the outside, Lady Warrior (Jim Taggart Jr) moved to the front to challenge the leader. They passed the half mile mark in :59.1. Come Zoom With Me and Lady Warrior battled for the lead, but Come Zoom With Me took it as they passed the three-quarter mile in 1:27. Raise The Rent followed in third, with Abuelita Hanover (Michael Merton) following closely in fourth.

Abuelita Hanover started to move to the front from the outside, stealing second and challenging Come Zoom With Me for the lead. Come Zoom With Me crossed the wire first in 1:57, a neck ahead of Abuelita Hanover. Mystical Gal (Kyle Dibenedetto) came in third.

Come Zoom With Me is a 4-year-old mare owned by Gary Haas and trained by Laura Aldrich. She paid $3.90 to win.
