Two overnight horses won their third straight harness racing contests on the Monday (Nov. 20) card at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
Lolita Hanover (Bar Hopping) reeled in loose leader Skoden (J. Bradley Harris) to score her third in a row after three weeks away in 2:03.3. Natasha Day piloted the three-year-old to the one-and-a-half-length win for trainer Britt Kennedy and owners Dean and Ashley Wilson. Lolita Hanover debuted this season at Sarnia, collecting cheques in her first two starts, before beginning her three-race streak on Oct. 20.

In the finale, Miss Italia (Betterthancheddar) fired to a second consecutive blowout, leading by seven-and-a-quarter-lengths at the line as she made it three in a row. She stopped the clock in 1:58.2 with Nick Steward at the lines in her 11th lifetime score. The four-year-old Mike Timpano-trained mare has won her last three by a combined 20-and-three-quarter lengths for owners Wendy Timpano, Seaspray Stables, Frank Tucci, and Dave Kennedy. She is now seven-for-20 on the season and has earned $46,644 in 36 career outings.
