Gary Evans and The Foulk Stable's Prayer Session, and harness racing driver Corey Callahan, picked up his third straight win at Harrah's Philadelphia on Thursday (June 4).
The 6-year-old gelding and eight others took the stage in the featured event, a trot for non-winners of $15,000 in their last five starts.
Starting from post one, Prayer Session backed off the early trot, coming away fifth. The son of Like A Prayer floated out first over towards the leader Derby (Geo. Napolitano Jr.) shy of the half. These two were on even terms at the top of the stretch. They battled tooth and nail down to the finish, with Prayer Session winning by a neck, stopping the clock in 1:55.
It was the twenty-fourth career win for the Trish Foulk trainee, and his seventh of the season.
Five Towns (Brett Miller) finished third.
The winner paid $3.40.
