CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – On top at every call, Time To Dance strutted his way to the winner’s circle in the Sunday afternoon (Dec. 10) harness racing feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The win was number three of the day for Marc Campbell as Time To Dance left alertly from post 4 to secure the lead at the 27.4 opening quarter before hitting fractions of 59.1, 1:29.2 and 1:58.4 in the $3,800 Preferred Pace over a muddy track rated two-seconds off. Middleton Terror (Driven by David Dowling) was second with Island Beach Boy (Adam Merner) third. Brent Campbell trains the winning pacer that he co-owns with Brady Doyle, Kent MacDonald and Ryan MacLeod.

Campbell’s other wins came with Afair Somewhere (1:59.2) from the Bo Ford stable and with The Devils Cash (1:59.4) for trainer Lenny Myers. Campbell finished off the weekend with 140 driving wins in Charlottetown in 2023 as he looks for his 14th straight driving title. Jason Hughes is in pursuit in second with 134 victories.

Ken Murphy made a trio of trips to the winner’s circle on the program. The Harrington driver opened up the day winning with Pictonian I Am (2:00) for trainer Robert Phillips, Redland Sampson (2:03) for his father, trainer Clifford Murphy, and with Winter Blast (2:01.1) at 26-1 odds from the Jennifer Doyle operation.

Doyle also tasted victory with Mantario in the $3,450 Preferred 2 Pace in a 1:59 effort in line to Dowling. The Earnscliffe trainer now has a one-race lead in the top trainer race at 67 wins ahead of Hughes at 66.

Live racing continues Saturday (Dec. 16) and Sunday (Dec. 17) at Red Shores Charlottetown.
