Global Believer S (Donato Hanover) put a field of quality harness racing trotters to sleep and won the Open Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (Dec. 12).
Global Believer S charged hard at the start of the race but was pressed to the quarter by a pesky I Get It in 27.3. Driver Tim Tetrick was able to put the brakes on Global Believer S after reaching the half in 57.3, a 30 second quarter.
Muscle Dynasty was parked the mile and forced Black Hope and That Ole Bar Stool to circle 3 wide down the backstretch. Global Believer S, the even odds betting favorite, was in cruise control passing the three quarters in 1:25.3 and a 28 flat quarter.
In the stretch, Global Believer S was able to repel the late charges from Black Hope and Muscle Dynasty and won by a half-length in 1:55 flat. He paid $4 for the win.
Global Believer S is owned by Engblom Stable LLC and Kasper Foget both from NJ. Per Engblom trained and Tim Tetrick drove. Global Believer S has now won at 4 different sized race tracks this year. He won for the 8th time in 17 starts also this year.
Black Hope finished 2nd. Muscle Dynasty, who was parked the entire mile, lasted to finish 3rd.
