Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:04pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Schoemaker (4) Big run for second at Geraldine. Hard to beat with a similar effort here
Transtasman Bubble (2) Normally hereabouts and drawn to be handy. Top three chance
Tilthesunsets (8) Goes forward early and likely leader here. Could be tough to run down.

Race 2

Good Time Betty (8) In good form and wide draw the only worry here. Top selection
Harry Belafonte (1) Better last start and ace draw suits. Has to be respected here
Ambleside Drive (3) In good form and drawn nicely. Should give a good account.

Race 3

Waikari Barb (8) Getting better with racing and has grass track form. Needed
Audacity (18) Big finisher and needs to be put in the race. Could surprise with luck
Rockcent (4) Has been racing nice fields and top driver booked. Winning claims

Race 4

Verducci (2) Best draw for some time and freshened. Looks hard to beat in this
Hi Hopes (8) Has been a bit unlucky in recent runs. Wide draw but top driver on board
Lewey Maguire (6) Stable in form and got knocked over last start. Good chance in this

Race 5

Grettymac (1) Drawn well and good win on debut. Can go close with manners
Styx Jewel (2) Conditions suit here. Manners not great but good chance in this field
Downtown Orlando (11) Freshened and is back in good condition. Upset chance

Race 6

Dare Devil (9) Should be improved for this and big win last start. One of the better chances
Blue Rock Dancer (10) Good finish last start and should go close again here. Include
Arizonawildcat (8) Goes well on grass and a better run last start. One for longer odds

Race 7

Tanganyika (7) Draw hurts but good at Motukarara. Can get into the placings again here
Hey Tonight (2) Under the odds but should give a good account with top driver booked
Amelia Rose (12) Ok form around grass tracks but wide draw against. Could surprise

Race 8

Straight Flush (2) Better draw for this and good on grass. Winning claims and top selection
Motor Mouth (6) Racing well and looks a solid place chance again in this field. Needed
More Gooda (10) Out of form but good enough to figure here. Place chance with gaps

Race 9

Here’s Herbie (6) Has been in good form and top win last start. Hard to beat again here
Heza Sport (7) Has been disappointing but a drop in class here. Big improvement likely
Got You Covered (5) Freshened and goes ok on the grass. Chance if the pace is hot

Race 10

Maui (13) Beat a similar field last start. Should give a good account again in this. Include
Zsa Zoe (2) Conditions suit and normally reliable from a stand. Chance at longer odds
Royal Del (12) Better last start and could be a place hope at longer odds in this. Include

Race 11

Zia Bromac (7) Track will suit and good beginner. Likely leader who can give a sight
American Sniper (1) Due to strike form and ace draw for this. Good top three chance
Big Mama Morris (11) Will get a soft fence run here. Can run top three with luck
