Hp Mama B (Royalty For Life) made short work of the $36,000 Preferred at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Monday (Dec. 18) as she cruised to a big harness racing victory in a shortened field.
After reaching the front before the quarter in :27.4, she rolled to the half in :55.4 and began to open up to three-quarters in 1:23.4. With only three opponents left in tow, she coasted to victory by six-and-a-quarter lengths in 1:54 for Louis-Philippe Roy. Truffles Too (Doug McNair) was the best of the second group. Amigo Volo (Tyler Borth) finished third.

The win was the second straight for Hp Mama B and her 22nd lifetime in 72 career starts. The Benoit Baillargeon-trained mare has now earned $801,803. Guylaine Picard of Guelph and Celine Paquin of Ayers Cliff own the five-year-old.
