Starting from the second tier in post 10 was no problem for 9-1 Ainthesamewithoutu (Sweet Lou), who using a three-wide move at the three-quarters, upset the harness racing field in capturing the $25,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace Friday at Dayton Raceway.
The 5th race feature got underway with race favorite Newsy N (Dan Noble) going to the early lead from post five and having to hold off Marloe Hanover (Brett Miller) and a three-wide then first-over Kobeās Gigi (Luke Hanners) to the opening quarter in a speedy :25.4.
Kobeās Gigi was able to clear to the front with Newsy N second and Marloe Hanover in third place to the half mile marker in :53.2 as Lee Loo (Tyler Smith) tried coming first-over from fourth place.
Into the backstretch, Marloe Hanover flushed out first-over and then Ainthesamewithoutu and driver Tony Hall, who was sixth (third over) on the outside, started sweeping three-wide at the three-quarters in 1:21.1.
Around the final turn, Ainthesamewithoutu got into striking distance fanning three-wide and then blew by the race leaders, winning with ease by three and one-quarter lengths in 1:50.4. Racing Glory (Austin Hanners), who had followed Ainthesamewithoutu three-wide from ninth place at the three-quarters, closed to be second with Anthem (Chris Page) placed third.
