Denver Gio cruises in GP Citta’ di Taranto

Denver Gio (4m Southwind Frank-Swan Wise As-Varenne-Garden Variety-Tagliabue) at 1.5/1 favorite odds eased away from his harness racing competition to win the Grand Premio Citta’ di Taranto (purse 37,400€, 1600 meters autostart) at Paolo Italy.

This Alessandro Gocciadoro trainee was driven by AG for Fracesco Licciardi and recorded a track record time of 1.10.3kr. Denver raced on the front from post three and defeated 31.3/1 Dillettevole Nap (4m Neste Effe-Salsedine-Ideale Luis) and third fishing 21.4/1 odds Deledda (4f Bird Parker-Guiana-Viking Kronos).

The initial engagements are in for the December 31st Prix du Bourgogne at Vincennes. The Gr. II test is the third “B” qualifier for the Amerique Prize. A total of 48 horses are engaged including Cokstile, Hooker Berry, Hohneck, Hip Hop Haufor, Eric The Eel, Moni Viking, Horsy Dream, San Moteur and Go On Boy. The final starter list will be determined Thursday.
