WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 12, 2024 — Credit Con (Credit Winner-Jesse’s Con) opened a sizable lead but had to hold off two challengers late to secure his 10-1 upset in Friday’s (Jan. 12) $21,200 Open Handicap harness racing trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Credit Con was ahead by 2-1/2 lengths turning for home but then faced the looming Emerald’s Legacy and Tequila Talkin, both circling from the back of the pack. Brady Brown kept the Yonkers invader to his task, and he downed Emerald’s Legacy by 3/4 lengths in 1:54.1 over a “good” surface. Tequila Talkin finished third.
