He was a four-length winner from 4.4/1 Kalmia Quick (4f Up And Quick-Dolce Vita Quick) was second with Eric Raffin at the lines for Ecurie Quick Star, the owner/breeder) and trainer Patrick Chevrier. Third home was 26/1 Kiara de Vandel (4f Charley du Noyer-Silene de Vandel) under rein to Leo Abrivard for L.C. Abrivard training for Ecurie le Tour des Vandel. A short time ago the FR Philippe Allaire exported Callmethebreeze won his elimination heat and the final of the Great Southern Star at Melton in Australia. Owned now by Pat Driscoll of Yabby Dam Farms he rallied three wide in the final bend and was up in the final stride to defeat Just Believe, an Elitlopped competitor in 2023. Callmethebreeze was bred in Italy by the US sire Trixton from Gilly LB by Supergill. He was third to Idao de Tillard in the Criterium Continental a year ago.
At Solvalla this day the white hot Hogh On Pepper (6g Ready Cash-Piece Of Work-Yankee Glide) won the STL Gold for first moey of 12,900€. Jorma Kontio teamed the Katja Melkko trainee to his soxth straight victory this one timed in 1.12.9kr. The special day at Solvalla also was highlighted by a retirement ceremony for the legenday trainer/driver Stig H. Johansson.
