I Did It Myway (Captaintreacherous) overcame an outside post and overland trip to win back to back harness racing dashes in the Blue Hen/Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover on Thursday night.

Mack was the quickest off of the starting gate at the start of the race.  I Did It Myway left from post 8 and retreated to the pylons in 4th position

Sir Issac Newton was not content to sit along the pylons.  He rushed to the top passing the quarter in a rapid 26.1. Mack gladly accepted the pocket trip.  Sir Issac Newton and driver Tim Tetrick, continued on the lead and slowed down the pace reaching the half in 55.1, a  29 flat quarter.

I Did It Myway, the 3/2 betting favorite, angled to the outside from fourth and steamrolled up the backstretch in pursuit of Sir Issac Newton. The two hooked horns after reaching the three quarters in 1:23 a 27.4 quarter.

At the top of the stretch, Issac Newton became leg weary.  I Did It Myway remained on the rim and Sprocket rocketed three wide. Mack waited for room along the pylons. I Did It Myway powered to the top in deep stretch and won by a hard fought length in 1:50.3. He paced the final quarter in 27.3 and paid an even $5 for the win.

I DID IT MYWAY REPLAY

I Did It Myway is owned by Hamm, Evm Racing LLC and Glenn R. Phillips all are from Delaware. Chuck Crissman Jr. trained and Corey Callahan drove. Sprocket finished 2nd and Mack picked up the show payoff.
