āThanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the hard work of our committee and volunteers, through sponsorship and fundraising we have been able to increase the Rocky Baker Memorial Cup from $18,800 to an amazing $20,000 and all other races are worth $12,600 an increase from last yearās $9,800,ā Robinson said.
āThis year also we are not part of the Carnival of Cups so that means New Zealand bred horses are eligible to competeā she added.
Once again, the club will offer bicycles for the children thanks to Jensen Baker of Carbine Chemicals.
This will be the tenth running of the Rocky Baker Memorial; Rocky was a great supporter of the club, and his son Jensen has continued that support in honour of his father.
The club only has one TAB Meeting a season andĀ St Patricks weekend the Silver City comes to life with the Racing, Pacing, and Chasing carnival.
