On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

Garnet Barnsdale covered the sparkling form of Simon Says Hanover once again last week. The son of Captaintreacherous is proving very hard to beat at the moment bringing up yet another win at Yonkers Raceway on Monday night. The win was the 4th in a row and takes his career earnings to $379’000 Watch the action below.
CANADIAN REPLAY
Nicholas Barnsdale covered the road to 1000 career training victories for Gord Abbott last week with the milestone effort coming up when Mcmoney scored at Fraser Downs on Friday. The 1.58.4 was enough to keep out race rivals. It’s taken 4879 starts for the 1000 to come up for Abbott – who’s also been a successful driver in his time in the game.
NEW ZEALAND REPLAY
Bruce Stewart covered the running of the Rangiora Classic last week with Franco Marek, a top horse on his day, proving too strong for a competitive field of pacers. The grass track shone through as Franco Marek found enough late to deny the consistent Buckskin who had dove down to the passing lane for a final late bid at the spoils. Watch the actin below.
EUROPEAN REPLAY
Thomas H. Hicks covered the Prix De France last week. The major European feature was taken out by the fast-finishing Idao de Tillard, a horse with plenty of speed to show from off a mid-race sit.
