The biggest upset of the night (Mar. 1) at Fraser Downs was when the 14-1 Outlawelectricblue (Captive Audience) stole the fifth race.
The three-year-old filly clung to the rail as fast as she could when the gates flew open. She found herself sitting in fourth as Great Emotion led the pack. After a speedy. 27.1 opening quarter the pace slowed down to a 57.1 half and 1:27.3 three-quarters. Great Emotion held the lead until Outlawelectricblue came flying down the stretch and snatched the race in 1:57.1. Great Emotion would fall out of the top three. Catchmegracefully finished second and Heart Of A Dragon finished third.
OUTLAWELECTRICBLUE REPLAY
This is the first win of the year for Outlawelectricblue and the second of her career. Trainer, Constance Kolthammer was in the sulky for the victory.
Both Kelly Hoerdt and Scott Knight would each pick up three driving wins on the card. Hoerdtās first trip to the winnerās circle came in the third race with Ali Gater (Betterthancheddar). He would win the next race with one of his trainees, In High Cotton (Somebeachsomewhere) in 1:55.2. Diva Amour (Custard The Dragon) would give Hoerdt his third win in the sixth race.
Knight started the card off by winning the first race with Watching Marena (Hes Watching). It wouldnāt be until the seventh race that Knight earned another victory this time with Million Reasons (Vertical Horizon). It would be Knight Late Daily Double as he wins the eighth race with Western Summit (Vertical Horizon).
