Three-year-olds shine in Italy

Three-year old filles and males were on stage this day at Foggia Italy.

In the filly Grand Premio Saranno Famosi Filly (purse 37,400€, 2060 meters autostart) the 1.15.2kr timed winner was 1.5/1 odds Foira Mail (3f Maharajah-Piuma d’Amore-Faliero As) reined by Antonio Di Nardo for Severio Cortese. This filly has earned 28,300€ in her brief career. The three-length winner bested 11.8/1 Fine Ama (3f Vivid Wise As-Principessa Ama) with third going to 4.9/1 Fantastica Doda (3f Maharajah-Venere Degli Dei) with V,P, Dell’Annunziata driving.

In the male Grand Premio Saranno Famosi (purse 37,440€, 2060 meters autostart) the 8/1 odds Ferahan As (3m Maharajah-Simpatica OK-Cantab Hall) scored in 1.15.9kr reined by Mario Minopoli Jr. This winner of 21,635€, by open lengths defeated 1.4/1 odds favorite Falconss (3m Conway Hall-Iwaki) and 9/1 Fascino Luis (3m Napoleon Bar-Impronta Luis).

Racing in Italy will be heating up now that Paris Winter Meet has concluded, and the successful Italians return home and also visit Sweden.
