Manitoba Standardbred Racing Incorporated’s (MSRI) best were honour at the annual Awards Night which was held on Mar. 9.
Dave Mooney has been in the harness racing business for a very long time, and he has won almost everything one can. He can now add another trophy to his mantle, the MSRI Lifetime Breeders Achievement. The longtime voice of harness racing in Manitoba has contributed to the growth and success of the sport locally for decades. This is the first time this award has been presented.
Trevor Williams took home the MSRI Horseperson of the year after a year where he lead in both training wins and UDRS.
After winning Manitoba-bred Three-year-old of the Year, Braxtons Boy (Whosurboy) also won Manitoba-bred Horse of the Year.
