Monticello, NY— Hopnroll Heaven (Rock N Roll Heaven, Gregory Merton) went gate to wire in the $6,500 Open harness racing pace at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday afternoon (Mar. 12).
Hopnroll Heaven took the early lead, followed by Some Deal Hanover (Bruce Aldrich Jr) in second and Flying Finn N (Adam Moeykens) in third. They passed the first quarter mile in :28. Hopnroll Heaven still had the lead when they got to the half mile in :58.1.
From the outside, Caviart Reagan (Michael Merton) rushed to challenge Some Deal Hanover for second. They approached the three-quarter mile in 1:27.2.
Hopnroll Heaven crossed the wire in 1:55.1, two lengths in front of Some Deal Hanover. Caviart Reagan came in third.

Hopnroll Heaven is a 6-year-old gelding owned by Morrison Racing Stables and trained by Andrew Adamczyk. He paid $4.10 to win.
Fern Paquet Jr got a driving double, Elisha Lafreniere got a training double, and Gregory Merton got a driving triple.
