Late rally takes Laval feature

This day (March 13) at Laval, France featured the Grand Prix Departmental (purse 53,000€, 2800 meters, 16 International, starters ages 5-11) saw the 1.4/1 odd harness racing s favorite Hubble du Vivier (7g Vulcain de Vivier-Minnie du Vivier) rallied in the lane for the 1.13.7kr victory.

Sebastien Ernault drove and trains the eight-time winner in 43 starts for legendary breeder/owner Jean Yves Lucuyer. Hubble now has 273,250€ earned.

Illusion Jipad (6f Boccador de Simm-Toutoune Jipad) was second for teamster Eric Raffin at 3.9/1. Pascal Lelievre trains and owns this one. Bordeaux S (8g Orlando Vici-Spot Over), off at 7.7/1 odds, was third reined by Francois Lagadeuc for Global Glide AB and trainer Tomas Malmqvist.

At Laval the classy mare Joumba de Guez (5f Carat Williams-Quoumba de Guez) was trained by Tristan Ouvrie for trainer Jean Michel Bazire and owner/trainer Ecurie Vautors. This winner of 227,620€ won the monte Gr. I Prix Jag de Bellouet in mid-December at Vincennes.
