Harness racing hits Banks Peninsula again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:25pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Bet:  R5   Brother Love

Best Value:  R9   Musclynn

Race 1

Saxon Reigns (2) Dunn stable holds the key here and this one good at trials. Good chance with manners
Pasternak (11) Running on here on debut and race experience a plus. Can place with a similar effort
Bravehearthighlander (10) John Dunn driving this one is a big push. Manners needed but has the motor

Race 2

Biggles (12) Running on well in debut on grass. Chance to go one better with a similar run in transit
Cosmic Star (6) Might have turned the corner and expect better here. Driver change for this. Include
Itz All Fired Up (16) Tricky draw but can do some work in the running. Top three chance with luck

Race 3

Elegant Achiever (3) Good second two starts ago and not the worst here at longer odds. Needed here
Wishful Thinking (4) Tidy run for second here last start. This field looks stronger but can run top three
Megyn Kelly (8) Running on in a leaders bias track last start. Wider draw but not the worst in this

Race 4

Tanganyika (7) Has an ok record on the track. Drawn wide but should be in the mix if he goes forward
Buddy Reign (6) Good gate speed and looks the early leader in this. Can place again from a trail
Hope For Love (10) Drawn to get a cosy run on the pegs. Could surprise at longer odds with gaps

Race 5

Brother Love (3) Has galloped the last couple but if he begins fast then looks a good winning chance.
George Eliot (6) Battled late last start but looked a run short. Can run top three here with improvement
Brian Beatt (13) Ran home well here last start. One of the better chances at longer odds in this field

Race 6

Major Happy (8) In good form and only needs a good run in transit to be a winning chance here.
Black Mach (4) Freshened and has one of the better juniors aboard. Is tough and should go close
Bondi Lustre (2) Much better last start. Good beginner with a solid top three chance in this. Needed

Race 7

Ruby’s A Delight (7) Has been running good races and grass suits. Top selection in this field
Beeps (5) Getting fitter with racing and only needs a good run in transit to be a chance at big odds.
Killinchy Kid (12) Tricky draw but racing well and  has place claims with a cart into the race. 

Race 8

Acento (13) A bit unlucky here last start. Races best when near the pace but winning claims here
Hey Tonight (7) Down on form but can go a cheeky race if put into the race early. Top driver booked
Franco Tim (3) Better draw and has gate speed Top three chance with a trailing position. Include

Race 9

Musclynn (1) Conditions suit and should give a good account from the good draw. Top selection
Jasprit Trouble (4) Has had a slight freshen up and a top three chance from the draw. Include
The Royal Gamble (9) Racing well and looks a good top three chance again. Might head forward

Race 10

Lord Fantasy (3) Conditions suit and should give a good account from the good draw. Needed here
Motor Mouth (2) Down on form but at his best would be a top three chance from the draw. Include
Peraki Seelster (12) Racing well but tricky draw. Definitely a top three chance if put in the race
