Down Under Winners from North America – 2nd April

Two Australian breds in Rocknroll Runa (Rock N Roll Heaven) and What’s Stanley Got (Heston Blue Chip) won $50,000 second harness racing divisions of the MGM Borgata Pacing Series at Yonkers Raceway on Monday night (March 25). 

ROCKNROLL RUNA REPLAY

Rocknroll Runa, a Rock N Roll Heaven gelding, collected his second win in the series, leading from the get go and scoring by one-and-a-half lengths in 1:52, while What’s Stanley Got (by Heston Blue Chip) came from midfield to win in the same time. 

The Australian bred pair The Ideal Dancer and Patrickthepiranha quinellaed the feature race in 1:51.8 at The Meadows on Friday (March 29). The win lifted The Ideal Dancer’s earnings to more than $US280,000. 

The New Zealand bred Delightful Catherine and the Victorian bred Doug’s Babe both registered their first successes in the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series at Yonkers Raceway on Friday night. 

Delightful Catherine went wire-to-wire in 1:55.8 in her $40,000 division, while Doug’s Babe came last to win the first $40,000 division in 1:53.2. 

The Somebeachsomewhere pair Adam Crocker (1:49.6) and Spring In His Step (1:49.8) entered the sub 1:50 list in America, while  Artatac (Art Major) recorded a 1:50 mile.
