Llowalong Farms haven’t forgotten lovers of trotters either and they will present five harness racing trotting-bred yearlings in the Nutrien Sale, Melbourne, 12th to the 14th April.
Possessed of an intriguing pedigree is Lot 189 which is the only filly in the sale by the superstar trotter Bold Eagle – a multiple Group One winner in Europe as well as winner of a Breeders Crown in North America on his way to 47 victories and $7.65 million in stakes.
Bold Eagle is already the sire of some 45 European winners of $100,000 and his first Australasian crop are the current yearlings.
Lot 189 is a half-sister to to last season’s 2yo Vicbred Super Series winner Valtino which resumed as a 3yo early in March with a win which took his earnings past $110,000.
Aspiring Eva, the dam of Lot 189 is an unraced half-sister to New Zealand 2yo Trotting Colt/Gelding Trotter of the Year Royal Aspirations and New Zealand 2yo Trotting Filly of the Year Jinja Gal.
“She is a stunning athletic filly that has blossomed in the prep. It is an extremely well performed trotting family and her half brother Valtino is already proof the dam will leave something special. She is the only trotting filly in the sale paid up for the NZ Sire stakes program. Don’t miss out on this exceptional filly!”
Llowalong Farms will present four yearlings by their resident stallion Pastor Stephen who was the USTA 2yo Trotting Colt of the Year.
Pastor Stephen is the sire of 210 winners in Europe and his first Australian crop are expected to begin racing as 2yos in the coming weeks.
Lot 169 and Lot 206 are out of unraced half-sisters in All Finesse and Claudys Queen.
Lot 169 is a filly out of All Finesse and is thereby a half-sister to Australian 2yo, 3yo and Aged Trotting Filly of the Year Claudys Princess which won 22 races and $401,803 and to Claudys Prince which won 14 races and $127,079.
Lot 206 is also a filly and is a half-sister to the filly winner Champagnes tr,1:59.3.
Lot 247 is by Pastor Stephen from Idoido which won ten races and $60,713.
Idoido has produced two foals of racing age and both are winners including Do Ball which has won seven races and $63,179 and has a record of tr,1:55.7.
Lot 284 is the first foal from the quick Majestic Son mare Moonshine Stride tr,1:57.3. This is the family of Princess Della, NZ 3yr old Trotting Filly Of The Year who left six winners including Kyvalley Mac ($166,684), Just A Cracker ($121,158) and Rare Opportunity ($105,284).
