Major League N (Gotta Go Cullen) scored for the first time since February as she led at every station in the Wednesday (Apr. 17) Fillies and Mares Preferred at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.

Ed Hensley piloted her to fractions of :28.1 and :59 on the sloppy track before Laila Blue (Travis Henry) advanced on her first-up going by the stands. The tempo picked up to three-quarters in 1:27.4 with Laila Blue pressuring the leader.

Major League N held her two lengths back rounding the final turn, but the attacker maintained her challenge into the stretch when Exotic Dragon (Travis Cullen) attempted to close up the rail. Exotic Dragon paced home the better of the two assailants, coming to withing three-quarters-of-a-length, but Major League N finished strongly to win in 1:57.2.

Exotic Dragon was second with Laila Blue a length-and-a-half back of the winner in third.

MAJOR LEAGUE N REPLAY

Major League N, trained by Ashleigh Hensley, is now two-for-10 on the year. The 11-year-old, a 2019 Aussie import, has earned $383,335 and won 39 of 163 starts. Ed and Ashleigh Hensley own the mare.

Garrett Rooney and Colin Kelly both took three driving wins on the team.

The Raceway at the Western Fair District will continue racing on Friday, Apr. 19 at 5:50 p.m. EDT.
