Harness racing hits Auckland again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 5:45pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R7    Self Assured

Race 1

Shez Bella (5) Has gate speed and an improver from last start. Hard to hold out here
Southern Diamond (8) Mobile will suit and wide draw the only concern. Could surprise
Halberg (2) Drawn well and top trotting stable now doing the training. Has to be respected

Race 2

Seaclusion (4) Has raced well in better fields and suited here. Good chance from the draw
Clouding Over (1) Better last start and can get into the placings from the ace draw. Needed
Diamonds Are Forever (9) Didn’t get all the luck last start. Similar draw and has claims

Race 3

Irish Whispers (3) Conditions suit here and hard to beat from a handy draw. Can run time
Leo Lincoln (1) No room last start. Likely trail position and winning claims here. Needed
Escape Artist (7) Course and distance suit. Could push forward and stick on in this

Race 4

Paramount Kiwi (3) Draw helps a lot and a good chance of leading again. Hardest to beat 
Princess Sadie (4) Big finish last start. Small field will help and will be running on here. Include
Bounce N Beyond (7) Wide draw and others here look a better bet. Top three chance with luck

Race 5

Cyclone Jordy (10) Has been impressive beating most of these. Can make it three on end
Demon Blue (6) Better last start and should be running on again. Should run top two here
I Got Chills (4) Tidy draw and in form. Improving and a chance of running into the top three

Race 6

Youretheonethatiwant (2) Unbeaten against most of these. Big hope of going three in a row
Im Sandra Dee (5) Nice effort for second in a similar field last start and the main threat to the fav
Won And Only (6) Getting fitter and wide draw the only concern. Will not be far away from placing

Race 7

Self Assured (2) Has the motor and a draw upgrade. Good winning claims if he can lead early
Don’t Stop Dreaming (11) Tricky draw for this but track and distance suit. Winning claims again
Merlin (9) In good form but getting off the fence early might be tricky. Win chance with any gaps

Race 8

Bad Medicine (2) Not far away last start. One of the better chances and safe from a stand
Smoke On The Water  (6) Drawn badly but close up last start. Can go close with a soft run
Village Rebel (3) Out of form but could surprise if he can get near the front early. Rough chance

Race 9

Just Believe (5) Racing well and has a ton of speed. Should go close to to winning this
Oscar Bonavena (4) Not a lot of room last start. Hard to see him beating the favourite
Mystic Max (3) Drawn well and can place with luck in running. Short distance suits here

Race 10

Sunshine Shelby (4) Freshened and has been racing better fields. Will go an honest race
Frisco Bay (2) Up in grade but getting fitter. Nice draw and has to be included in this
Lincoln La Moose (1) Tidy draw and hard to beat if he can get around without galloping
