Western Canadian harness racing continues at both Century Downs and Fraser Downs on Friday (Apr. 26).

Things first kick off in Alberta at Century Downs with a 10-dash card. The featured race is the $25,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred in the seventh. There is also a Pick 5 wager that starts in the first race. The $1 minimum Pick 4 starts in the seventh and runs right to the end of the card.

Military Man (Heston Blue Chip) is looking to extend his win streak to three in the fifth race and the last leg of the pick 5.

The five-year-old gelding has won three of his five starts this year. His achieved a new lifetime mark of 1:55.4 in his last start.  Gregory Manning trains the pacer and Doug Chappell will be in the bike.

MILITARY MAN REPLAY

The Brinsley Brooking Lutz trained, Myomylookatmefly (Lambretta) has nearly been perfect this year. She has won five of her seven 2024 starts and has yet to finish worse than second. The eight-year-old mare likes to win wire-to-wire and has been able to do it from any post position. David Kelly will be in the sulky.

MYOMYLOOKATMEFLY REPLAY

The favourite in the seventh race is Outlaw Blue Isle (Blue Burner) and deservedly so. She has only two starts this year and both have been in the Fillies & Mares Preferred. The six-year-old has a win and a second place finish and nearly matched her lifetime mark 0f 1:54.2 her last time out. David Kelly trains and will be in charge of driving duties.

OUTLAW BLUE ISLE REPLAY

Outlaw Spiced Rum (Blue Burner) is another mare that has been tough to beat as of late. The six-year-old has won four of her last five starts and has a second place finish mixed in. Her last win was paced in 1:55.3 which is only two-fifths of a second off her lifetime mark. Travis Ellis trains and Mike Hennesssy will be in the bike.
