Woodbine Mohawk Park has a 12-dash harness racing card set for Saturday (Apr. 27) that features four finals for the Ontario Sired Spring Series. The card kicks off with a Pick 5 wager in the first race and the late Pick 5 starts in the sixth.
The Ontario Sired Spring Trots Final for three-year-old fillies kicks off the card. Kinnder Hotblood(Kadabra) comes in as the 2-1 morning line favourite. She draws post six as she looks to make it back-to-back wins. She won last time in the second leg in 1:55.1 after finishing fourth in the first leg. Matthew Baxter trains the filly and James Macdonald will be in the bike.
KINNDER HOTBLOOD REPLAY
Lexus Angel (Archangel) returns after taking the second leg off. She won the first leg in 1:57.1 which was her third win of the year. She has been racing well as she has only finished out the top two in her five starts. Lexus Angel is trained by Shannon Henry and Trevor Henry will be in the sulky.
LEXUS ANGEL REPLAY
The three-year-old colt & gelding trotters have their final in the third race and the heavy favourite is Covoy Hall (Muscle Mass). He is a perfect five-for-five in his career and has a lifetime mark of 1:55.4. He won the first leg in 1:57.4 and felt no need to race in the second round. Sylvain Filion has been in the bike for all five career starts and is scheduled to drive once again on Saturday for Robert Mcintosh.
CONVOY HALL REPLAY
Another big battle looms in the three-year-old pacing filly division between Lightning Lizzie and Right Match. Lightning Lizzie (Betterthancheddar) is the 9-5 morning line favourite in the sixth race, and she draws post three. She remains perfect in her career after only two starts. Her current fastest mile is 1:53.3 which she achieved in the first leg. She was scratched from the second leg due to illness. Sylvain Filion is set to drive for Murray Brethour.
LIGHTNING LIZZIE REPLAY
Right Match (Sportswriter) is looking to sweep the series and get her third straight win. She won both prior legs in 1:53 which is her personal best time. She has yet to finish worse than second place this year but will have to come from post-eight on Saturday. Right Match is one of two Robert Mcintosh entries in this race, and she will have Tyler Jones in the bike.
RIGHT MATCH REPLAY
In the eighth race, Write Me A Rose (Sportswriter) is looking to continue his journey in sweeping the Canadian Graduate Series. He won the first leg in 1:52 and followed that up with 1:51.2 mile in the second leg. He has shown he likes to take the early lead and has become hard to catch. Doug McNair will be in charge of the reins for Robert Kyle Fellows.
WRITE ME A ROSE REPLAY
