The mild longshot at odds of 6-1, Miller left from post six with Fearful Intent and cut the mile to the opening quarter in :27.2 with On Accident (Austin Siegelman) sitting the two-hole trip.

With no real challenges, Fearful Intent continued on the lead past the half mile in :56. Then flushed first-over in the backstretch was Bloodhound (Vinnie Ginsburg) and following second-over was the race favorite, Ignatius A (Johnathan Ahle). The three-quarters was reached in 1:24.3.

Around the final turn and at the top of the stretch, Fearful Intent still held the field at bay. Down the stretch came a late challenge from Ignatius A, who ended up one-length back for second as Fearful Intent won in 1:54. On Accident was third.

FEARFUL INTENT REPLAY

It was the third win of the season for Fearful Intent. The five-year-old gelding is trained by Jeff Cullipher for Pollack Racing and paid $14.20 to win.
