Nine year old harness racing gelding Dangerous (Shadow Play) is in the form of his life. On Saturday he recorded his sixth win.

Dangerous qualified as a three year old at Winton in December 2017 and ran second on debut. He won his first race at Ascot Park nearly six years ago, at that time trained by John Cox and Tracie McGrannachan.

In the early days he was owned by Doug McLeish and McGrannachan but has had a few different owners over the years including Winton trainers Ian Goodman and Chelsea Faithful. Faithful now trains the gelding and in four starts he’s recorded a ninth, a second and two wins.

In 58 starts his record is now six wins, four seconds and four thirds for $50,875.

Del’s Creation’s (Creation) win at the Wairio meeting on Saturday further enhanced the great record of his dam Delcola (Chiola Cola).

From seven foals she’s left six winners who’ve collectively won forty one races.

Her biggest winner is Splash Cola (Sundon) which won thirteen races including the G3 Summer Trotting FFA. Other good winners out of Delcola have been Delson (Majestic Son) having won nine, Andy Hall (Andover Hall) nine and Port Pegasus (Pegasus Spur) five.

The win by Del’s Creation was her second. She was initially trained by Nathan Williamson but is now in Lyndon Bond’s barn. Included in the ownership group are the mare’s breeder Ian Hunter, Lyndon and his wife Aimie and Gore trainer Tony Stratford.

Quality Southern mare Joes Rock (Racing Hill) will do her future racing for Cambridge trainer Arna Donnelly. Owned by Robert and Sharyn Symon, Joes Rock won six races for Ryal Bush trainer Brett Gray. The five year old’s last win was more than twelve months ago in the Southern Belle Final at Winton.

Donnelly has had success for the Symons before with Young Conqueror (Mach Three) four wins and Rough And Ready (Somebeachsomewhere) thirteen wins.

Smart qualifier Precious Moments (Majestic Son) has had her trotting career put on hold while a bone chip is removed from one of her legs.

The four year old qualified by twenty lengths at Winton last month for trainer Chelsea Faithful, running the 2400 metre stand in 3-12.4 – seven seconds under the required time.

Owned by Bridget Stevens and Tracey McMaster, Precious Moment is out of the four win mare Hurry Curry.
